Scalloped Potatoes

  1. Scrub or peel and slice potatoes into baking dish
  2. Slice a few onions in
  3. Cover with hot milk or cream
  4. Salt generously, pepper

A dab or two of margarine doesn't hurt, especially if you use low fat milk. You can add white sauce or stir a little flour into milk, or not. The potato starch will thicken it somewhat.

Bake 350° F or 180° C for an hour or so (usually boils over so protect oven).
